My Story

The blend of my multicultural background—growing up with the influences of both Arab and British cultures—and my extensive experience as an actress, which involved deeply understanding and portraying diverse characters, has enabled me to support my clients with profound empathy and awareness. My acting background also helps me employ playful and interactive methods in coaching, particularly with my specialized training in working with neurodiverse clients.

I grew up in Jordan with an Arab father and a British mother and trained professionally as an actress in England. However, pursuing my career presented many challenges once I married and returned to the Middle East.

I worked hard to become a household name in the Arab world and raised two beautiful children, but balancing everything felt overwhelming. I constantly felt guilty and anxious, trying to be Superwoman. This led me to practice mindfulness, Reiki, and transcendental meditation, and eventually train as a transformational life coach when I moved back to England.

Combining my passion for creating positive change with comedy and playfulness, I created The Rania Show, where I played five female characters that challenge cultural issues through short comedy sketches. This show earned me the title of 'The Arab Tracey Ullman' and was used as teaching material at Stanford University. I also collaborated with the UNFPA to create awareness sketches about sexual and reproductive health.

As an advocate for LGBTQ+ equal rights and a proud ambassador to The Children of War Foundation, I continue to champion important causes. I also host my own podcast, “Breaking Free with Rania Kurdi”, where I share inspiring stories and tips for increasing confidence. Breaking Free with Rania Kurdi.

“Rania is an inspiring, feminist, thought-leader with a refreshing perspective on what it means to be a woman in twenty first century society. Her sessions inspired me to explore myself and my existing beliefs around self-expression, to regain my personal power and feel more confident and courageous in my daily life. She helped me realize that what I wear and how I look on the outside is for my own enjoyment and fulfillment! By reminding us, as women, to look inwards rather than outwards for validation, Rania invites self-exploration and self-love that are refreshing, liberating and fun.”
